Following Redland City Council’s rejection of the Barro Group’s Development Application to establish a new quarry at Mt Cotton, Barro has asked the Queensland Government to “call in” the Development Application.  Many residents will have received a letter from Minister Jeff Seeney.

You have only until 30 August 2013 to respond.

The concern is that the State Government will approve the Barro quarry application despite its overwhelming refusal by Redland City Council.

It is vital that the residents of Redland and Logan write to the Deputy Premier and Minister for State Development, Infrastructure and Planning

We do not want the Queensland Government to approve the Mt Cotton Superquarry.

Six quarries in Mt Cotton are already destroying our environment and our lifestyle as well as adding more trucks on the roads.
